Being new to knitting and being me, I can never figure in my head before I knit something, if the stitches are going to be enough to fit the person! I found a nice simple hat pattern for Stephen(who is super picky!) and began.. I presumed it would stretch, which it did, but it was way too short lol So, I figured what the hey and just made up a lovely brooch for it and decided to keep it for someone else.
I got the pattern here

I also got around to making myself a much needed knitting roll! My thin needles were poking dangerously out of the bottom of my bag, so I hope this prevents that( although I ended up having to tape the points, as the material is thin on the roll!)
I mainly followed Cat's instructions on her site Cut Out + Keep, which is my new fave crafty site :D My material is from an old sari style sarong, from my Monsoon days :) As usual it is a bit to short for my longer needles, but it will do for now.

I found some pictures of cards I had made for family and friends a few years back now. So, I thought I may as well pop them up here with everything else, especially as this place has gotten very "knittaholic" like lately :D

Unfortunately most all of the pictures were taken with my crappy old phone camera :( So they are not perfect.
This is a "Little Bo Peep" card I did for my niece

A New Baby Card for some TNBC loving friends

This is a card for a friend who had a dream about Mikey from My Chemical Romance lol

A card for my bessie mate SJ, it includes Ville Valo and Lauri from the Rasmus whom she adores. The writing is all done by me :D

For another friends birthday :D

This is my first adventure into my own label design. Meronym being my chosen name, the twig with leaves being the representation of the name.

The method I followed for making my label (even though I didn't have the ribbon in the end) was from this great site ;D

label It isn't as uneven looking as the photo suggests ;)

Wahoooooo. I have finished the bag for my mother and I am so happy with it. The only thing I have left, is to try to make a label for it. I have the transfer paper and all that, just have to get my design from my brain to the computer :P
Here is the bag, the main body stitch is called "garter lace stitch" which I got from http://knitting.about.com/od/stitchglossary/g/garter_eyelet.htm

I also finished two calorimetry's. The first one that I knit was too small(not paying enough attention) and so I ended up sending it to my little sister, then the second one, I followed the knitty pattern to the T and it turned out great :) I added two buttons, cute little snowflakes ;) http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTcalorimetry.html

So, that is a lot of things off my list :)
Next up, is a hat for Stephen, my boyfriend.

Finally finished my scarf. I am really happy with it AND i got to wear it out the other day, as it was quite stormy in downtown, alas it was still mild and I was baking hot after a while. The scarf doesn't itch, so thats good :D

I am also almost finished the gift for my mother, just waiting for it to dry :D It's looking good and I bought the last few things I needed to complete it. I should have it done by the weekend.

Pics of scarf:
