It seems as if I have done nothing useful in quite a while now. I have so many ideas, but no motivation. I don't know why, other than I'm addicted to the internet and can't pry myself away to create anything. The days are quickly staying brighter for longer now, so I should be all sprightly and energised, but I'm not.. Damn job getting in the way of creativity!

I do have one project on the go, it's almost finished, but as it's a gift for someone, a wee someone at that, I shan't post anything about it yet.

When I am stuck into the www, one of my fave places to oggle is Cut Out + Keep, I am always inspired by the projects that are posted there and the few people I chat to there are really nice and friendly.
Last night I found inspiration in a post from Skacore_Princess. SP made a skirt from a ladies XL t-shirt and I thought it was super cute. So knowing I had a t-shirt waiting to be made into something useful and a bag full of old t-shirts and scrap fabric, I jumped on my sewing machine and began. I finished it this morning. While it's not going to win any fashion awards or receive praise for the top notch finishing on it, I am satisfied with it, as a reconstructed item of clothing. It got me practicing sewing and using my machine.
Now I just need to do something small every day to get back the motivation and inspiration. I have two birthdays this month, a birth and 3 items for a swap on CO+K! So, I better get my arse in gear ;)
Before I added the black "modesty slip" haha

I've had this project in my head for a while now and I kind of feel guilty about all the waste I made, not doing it. Although there is a limit to how many I can make use of, so no more guilt!
I have a cat, therefore we buy kitty litter for her, which comes in these big plastic tubs, which we normally throw away. Talking to some people on the craft site I frequent, one member told me she re-uses hers, for various different things around the home.

So finally I have gotten around to making use of them myself. I kept two to work on and it was so simple to do.
I cut the top off one and put duct tape around the edge to guard against accidents(it's quite sharp!) This one I use for popping in the newspapers and leaflets I receive, as the recycle bin is just a minute walk away, that is perfect for carrying down.

The second one I only cut the spout and surrounding area off and left the handle on. Again covering the edges with duct tape. I use this one under the kitchen sink with all my sponges and sprays. So handy.

I think another handle one for the bathroom is next and then another open one for the egg cartons and juice/milk cartons.
That's my good deed for the month :)

A friend gave me this old t-shirt and I have been pondering what to do with it. I came up with this. A reusable shopping bag :D

There wasn't too much work involved.
